Painting is like praying to me. I aim to do it consistently and consciously to fulfill the purpose of my being.
Here's something interesting about me. My name is Amatullah, which literally means "servant of Allah", and I am devoted to serving God by consciously reminding myself and everyone I can ever connect with about the universe of beauty and vitality that the greatest of creators has gifted us with.
Amatullah Tapiya was born in the beautiful city of lakes, Udaipur, India. After graduating in Interior Design, she discovered that the career left her unfulfilled and creatively burnt out. Choosing to follow her joy and reconnect with a lifelong dream, Amatullah took a leap of faith and returned to her true passion: painting.
Upon being introduced to various art materials and techniques by her art teacher in the 8th grade at her new school in Kuwait, Amatullah delved into the depths of the art world by practicing the basics as instructed by her teacher, who recognized her talent and devotion to art. Though this creative connection faded over time, it resurfaced with greater intensity after graduation-when she realized how deeply she missed the joy and freedom that painting once brought her.
After living for over a decade in Kuwait, she moved back to her hometown, Udaipur, in 2024 (post-graduation) and converted her childhood house, still echoing with the joy of her youth, into a little studio space where she now spends most of her days honing her art.

Amatullah draws inspiration from the greatest of the Creator and paints the essence of everything beautiful that the Divine has created. She captures the beauty of living as the greatest version of oneself and wishes for the viewer to lose and find themselves in the divine dreams.
“My name is Amatullah, meaning ‘servant of Allah’, and painting is my service to The Creator, Al-Khaliq (الخالق)".
Amatullah’s work combines realism with abstraction, unfolding themes of divinity and spirituality. Her vibrant art ignites a spark of profoundness and hope. She uses mixed media techniques, combining collages, mark-making, acrylics, and more with traditional oil paints to bring her vision to life.
Alongside her paintings, Amatullah is also the author of ‘Filterless Feelings’, a published collection of 20 raw and heartfelt poems that explore the depths of human emotions like belonging, nostalgia, and young adulthood.
